It’s Championship Show time again and we have great new things planned, starting with our location, the Del Mar Fairgrounds. We will be running 3 days, 2 nights, in two rings. We have also added award tents ringside so you can collect your ribbons easier. We also have some new exciting jumper-type jumps we think you will enjoy soaring over. And first place will get the choice of a $10 giftcard to Mary’s or $10 off their entries. To make getting around the show easier, you can reserve a golf cart with Holly before the show. These are just a few of our grand show plans!

Our Jumper division will run during the evening sessions. We will be running our first annual Itty Bitty Prix. Our Prix is sponsored by Chemical Consultants. The prizes this year for first place is 40% of the add-back pot, cooler, neck ribbon, and assorted prizes from the sponsor & PCHS. We are also running Jumper Stakes for the first time. Winner of the Stakes will take home money & an embroidered pad. For both the Prix & the Stake the monies will be paid out to the top 5 riders.

Also debuting at our Championship Show is our Hunter Classic classes sponsored by Norwegian Cruise Line. We wanted to give the exhibitors a chance to compete at a higher level for bigger prizes. Our six Classics start at the Crossrail height and go up to 3’, giving everyone at every level a chance to compete. This year the winners of the Classic classes will take home, a cooler, a silver Chippendale bowl, $25 gift card to Mary’s, and a ribbon. Second place will take home a silver jewelry box with their ribbon. Third through tenth will take a ribbon & a silver key chain. We are hoping to start a wonderful tradition for our exhibitors. We are planning to salute these winners with victory passes around the arenas.

As well as the Classic & Stake winners, we are also going to salute Division Champions and Medal winners. When possible we are going to calculate quickly the division champion points so when we announce our Under Saddle winner we will also announce our Champion & Reserve. Champion will receive an embroidered saddle pad & tricolor and Reserve will collect a reserve tri-color. This will give these riders an opportunity for a victory pass and photo wearing their ribbon. We also want to take time for all the Medal classes to salute the winners. The winner will be presented the Medal & trophy and then given the opportunity for a victory pass.

Another highlight for the exhibitors will be our Grand Prize drawing. We will finally draw the name of the lucky winner of a brand new (gate/wing standards/ rail) jump. Second place will receive an ancient coin depicting a horse valued at $300. Then we have supplements provided by DAC, fly spray by EQyiss, beauty products by Bella Vista, and much more. Tickets will still be available at the show. The time of the drawing will be posted and announced at the show.

When you are done showing for the day, you can scare yourself in the scream zone. As exhibitors/friends of the show, we can reserve you tickets for $23 (reg $46) for the triple haunt. Call Holly to reserve your tickets.
